My parents have been in Portugal for the last 2 weeks they have been property hunting and exploring the availability of land and services around each area that an estate agent showed them. This was our next step in relocating to Portugal. Travel during this Covid period was difficult - they needed a PCR test within 24 hours of their flight which they got in the airport. They left from Manchester and landed in central Lisbon got a hire car and travelled to the round house in village Medelim near Penamacor in the camera of Idania Nova where they stayed. To buy land in Portugal as an immigrant you need a NIF number, To gain a NIF number you simply need to visit a finance office and bring along your passport and proof of address (such as bank statements or utility bills). Once acquired the NIF number, the next step is too visit the real estate agent.
